WAI members attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh will have a greater opportunity to participate in WomenVenture events during the annual gathering as the programming is expanding to include events throughout the week. Wednesday, July 27, will be a day of celebration within AirVenture’s “aviation family reunion” culture.

Join us for breakfast and connect with fellow WAI members and aviation enthusiasts at Oshkosh! Enjoy a delicious breakfast, mingle with other WAI members and a few special guests. Sherry Carbary, WAI 67099, vice president of Boeing Flight Services, and Jackie Nesselroad, Boeing director of production operations for the Space Launch System New Orleans facility, will be the guest speakers at the 2016 WAI Connect Breakfast during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. In her role, Sherry leads a global operation of more than 1,200 employees responsible for pilot, technician and cabin safety training, and simulator services across 19 campuses in 11 countries and six continents. Jackie is managing the teams building the core stages for the Mars rocket for NASA.

The WomenVenture Power Lunch at Theater in the Woods will feature keynote speakers Speed & Angels Navy F-14 pilot Lt. Cmdr. Meagan Flannigan, and Navy Combat Veteran Vanessa Christie, WAI 28410.
Lt. Cmdr. Meagan Flannigan, USN has accumulated more than 1250 hours and more than 180 arrested landings. Her personal awards include the Strike/Flight Air Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, as well as various unit awards. Flannigan is an instructor pilot at VFA-106 where she is currently serving.
Vanessa Christie is a U.S. Navy combat veteran who spent the majority of her active duty time flying and instructing in the F-14 Tomcat. Christie is currently the Vice President of Strategic Development for Prevailance Aerospace, LLC, an aviation safety academy and Prevailance, Inc, a U.S. Defense and NATO services firm.
