The Louisville chapter of Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM) has announced an all-inclusive scholarship to attend the 2014 International Women in Aviation Conference in Orlando, Florida (March 6-8, 2014). The scholarship for first-time attendees includes all registration fees, round-trip airfare, room and board, and transportation between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

In addition to the AWAM Scholarship Checklist items you must:

  • Be female.
  • Be a senior or recent graduate of a Bachelors program in aviation maintenance or aerospace engineering.
  • Include an essay (500 words or less) explaining why you deserve to attend the conference. 
  • Submit an official transcript.
  • Be an avid volunteer in your community.

Applications for these scholarships must be received by Dec. 1, 2013.
