A fundraising effort that began earlier this year will celebrate sweet success tomorrow morning (Jan. 1) when a float dedicated to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) travels down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California, as part of the 2014 Rose Parade.

The float, titled "Our Eyes Are on the Stars," was built by Fiesta Parade Floats and is sponsored by the Wingtip-to-Wingtip Association through generous donations collected throughout 2013. It will feature 8 WASP on the float and a group walking alongside, representing the progress the United States has made in aviation, both military and commercial. The Wingtip-to-Wingtip Association hopes the publicity surrounding this effort will help draw awareness to the groundbreaking accomplishments of the WASP.

The parade begins at 8 a.m. PST, check your local listings for coverage.
