The Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund is expanding its sponsorship program to include 12 initial memberships to the organization, valued at $75 each. The sponsorships are available to women with a rotorcraft-helicopter rating, who are not yet Whirly-Girls members, to join at no cost and take advantage of the organization's member benefits including participation in its scholarship program. The memberships will be awarded at HELI-EXPO in Anaheim, California, in February. It is not necessary to be present to be considered. The deadline for application is February 10. The Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund Inc. was incorporated in 1974 to oversee and administer the scholarship funds raised by the Whirly-Girls and their auxiliaries. The Fund is a federally tax-exempt 501(c)3 public charity. The Scholarship Fund administers a number of separate scholarships currently valued approximately $65,000.
