LeTourneau University (LETU) has signed agreements with Collin College and McKinney Independent School District (MISD) that will expand the aviation education opportunities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Lockheed Martin has given $90,000 to support the Tuskegee University Freshman Accelerated Start up and Training for Retention in Engineering Curricula program. Known as FASTREC, this eight-week program is offered to high school graduates interested in engineering careers.

Each summer, FASTREC students pursue an intensive course of study in mathematics, science, engineering, graphics, and freshman orientation. The Georgia Business Aviation Association (GBAA) is offering several scholarships to deserving Georgia high school graduating seniors and those Georgia high school graduates already enrolled in college and pursuing careers in aviation.

Scholarships are available for the following programs: Professional flight, aviation maintenance, aerospace engineering, air traffic control, airport management, and satellite information technology.
