Washington D.C.-area high school students interested in learning more about a career as a pilot are invited to join FAPA.aero Wednesday, June 29, 2016, for a free pilot career seminar at the Courtyard Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia. Parents are also encouraged to attend.
This unique Focus on the Future event provides explanations on the requirements and needs for students interested in pursuing a career as a professional pilot. Presenters include active pilots, airline representatives, aviation universities, and more.
Organizers will provide advice on student loans, grants, scholarships, and the veterans’ benefits available for pilot education, as well as long-term employment projections for the profession.
A complimentary viewing of the documentary Living in the Age of Airplanes will be shown at the Smithsonian Airbus IMAX Theater at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport.
“We are thrilled that students and their parents will have time to explore this incredible aviation museum and participate in our informational presentations,” said Louis Smith, president of FAPA.aero.
