GlobalAir.com has opened its Calvin L. Carrithers Aviation Scholarship for applications. The scholarship is offered to all students who are U.S. citizens and currently enrolled in an accredited university or college aviation program for the 2016-2017 school year.

“We want to be able to give support to college students studying aviation, as well as provide them a way to share their experiences with industry peers,” said Jeff Carrithers, president and CEO of GlobalAir.com. “I believe it is extremely important for them to have a way to introduce themselves to the industry and begin networking now as they initiate their careers in such a fast-paced field.”

The application process for the program involves a short essay detailing their career path, letter of recommendation and proof of enrollment. Scholarship recipieints will be notified of winning by mid-August. The deadline to apply is August 10, 2016.
