Now in its ninth successful year, WomenVenture activities during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh were expanded to cover the entire week. Wednesday, July 27, was declared Women’s Day, providing women a way to connect during the annual fly-in convention while having Oshkosh-style fun at the same time.

The Commemorative Air Force has announced a program to honor the Women Airforce Service Pilots. The newest addition to the CAF national education outreach program is CAF RISE ABOVE: WASP, an initiative to bring the legacy of the WASP to a nationwide auidence.

Maj. Gen. Maryanne Miller will assume leadership of the Air Force Reserve Command at the Museum of Aviation in a ceremony July 15. Miller will become the first female in the history of the Air Force Reserve to be Chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of the Air Force Reserve Command. The 2016 Flying Aviation Expo is set to take place at the Palm Springs International Airport, October 20-22.
