Stephanie Kenyon has joined the Women in Aviation International (WAI) staff as chief growth officer. In this new leadership role, she is responsible for strengthening and growing the organization while broadening support for its mission.

“Stephanie comes to WAI with a proven track record in the aviation industry with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and AOPA. She is a welcome addition to our team and a great asset for WAI’s strategic goal to increase the support of our organization’s programs with key stakeholders,” Allison McKay, WAI CEO says.

Stephanie will draw on her vast experience in leading nonprofits with a special focus on aviation. At AOPA, she developed and launched its successful AOPA High School Aviation Initiative; at ERAU, she was involved in the university’s first Women’s Initiative to help support female students, and at AirServ International, she supported humanitarian aid flights on the African continent. Stephanie started her career in aviation as a flight attendant for Evergreen International Airlines. Stephanie, WAI 52071, holds a private pilot certificate, and lives in Northern Virginia where she is involved with a number of conservation and historic preservation groups.

“Having the opportunity to share my love of aviation with other women is the thrill of a lifetime. I look forward to working with everyone involved with WAI to grow our reach through all facets of aviation and aerospace,” Stephanie adds.
