Southwest Airlines has added four Boeing 737NG type ratings to the roster of 85 scholarships offered to Women in Aviation International members. Anyone who was a member of WAI as of November 1, 2013, is eligible to apply (free!). For these SWA scholarships only, the deadline to apply has been extended to December 1, 2013. The original deadline for all other scholarships remains November 18, 2013.

The Louisville chapter of Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM) has announced an all-inclusive scholarship to attend the 2014 International Women in Aviation Conference in Orlando, Florida (March 6-8, 2014). The scholarship for first-time attendees includes all registration fees, round-trip airfare, room and board, and transportation between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.
